Fair Blue R&R (Rules and Regulations)
Pool Operations
  • Lifeguards are in charge at all times. They have the authority to enforce the rules and regulations of the pool and to eject any violators from the pool premises.
  • For hours of operation click here.
  • During inclement or very cool weather, call the pool to be sure it is open. The pool may close due to temperature of less than 70 degrees or extended periods of rain. A sign will be posted on the door.
  • At the first clap of thunder, the pool(s) will close for 20 minutes.
  • Children 8 and under (After 7:00 p.m., children 12 and under) must always be accompanied to the swim club by an adult or a responsible teenager 15 years or older.
  • Use of any swimming equipment must be approved by the lifeguards. Inflated mats and floats are prohibited in the large pool. Diving masks, snorkels, etc. are not allowed in the diving well.
  • Members are both expected and requested to clean up after yourselves, trash receptacles and recycling bins are provided.
  • Lounges and chairs are provided and should not to be used as foot rests or backpack holders. Hooks are provided to hang backpacks inside or outside change rooms.
Safety
  • No one is allowed within the pool enclosure unless a lifeguard is on duty.
  • No glass containers allowed inside the pool fenced enclosure.
  • All children 8 and under will need to pass a water safety test (tread water for one minute and swim one length of the pool) in order to swim in the big pool without adult supervision.
  • Baby pool is only for non-swimmers that have NOT passed the big pool safety test. All children in the baby pool must be watched by an adult or other responsible person age 15 or older within the fenced area. No lifeguard is on duty, parents are responsible - please watch your children!!
  • Always close gate to wading pool.
  • One person is allowed on the diving board at a time. You must be able to jump from the diving board of your own free will and swim to the ladder unassisted. Parents may tread water close by for the safety of younger swimmers.
  • No running, walk on pool decks. Pushing, dunking, unauthorized games, or other horseplay is prohibited.
  • No diving in the restricted areas on the shallow end of the pool (5 feet of water or less) or in the wading pool.
  • Look before you leap into any pool.

Health Regulations
  • For obvious sanitary reasons, small children in diapers must wear rubber or plastic pant sealed at the waist and legs to prevent leakage. Rubber pants are available for sale at the Snack Shack.
  • Persons having a communicable disease, skin eruption, fungus infection, eye, ear, nose or throat infection, or other open sores are not permitted in the pools.
  • Persons with open or bleeding wounds are not permitted in the pools. Any injury which occurs in the pool area and which results in an open or bleeding wound must be treated and reviewed by a lifeguard before entry to the pools will be permitted.
  • Pets or other animals are not permitted inside the pool fenced enclosure.
  • No smoking within fenced pool enclosure. If you must smoke please do so in designated area outside the fence.
Be Kind to Our Neighbors
  • Exercise extreme caution when driving on Fair Blue Lane and on the Club’s property.
    Please slow down and watch out for children of all ages.
  • Please observe the STOP sign at the driveway exit and look both ways.
  • Please be considerate of the neighbors and use your horn only when necessary.
  • Park to allow the maximum use of the area by other cars.
  • Bicycles are to be parked in the racks provided (locks are strongly suggested).

Food & Beverage
  • Alcohol is not permitted on pool property during normal operating hours.
  • Soft drinks (no glass!) are allowed on the concrete areas surrounding the pools. Soft drinks attract insects, please notify staff of any spills and dispose of soda and cans properly. Look for special receptacles for recycling cans.
  • No food should be consumed on the concrete areas surrounding the pools. Ice cream and picnic meals should be eaten in the designated picnic area.
  • Gum is not permitted in the pool, it clogs up pool drains.
  • No food or beverage is allowed on playground or sand area.
  • Gas grills may only be operated by an adult. Please clean up after using grills and cover when cool.
Recreational Facilities
  • All recreational facilities are available for use by the membership during normal pool hours.
  • All children should be adequately supervised while using the playground, basketball court or any other recreational equipment.
  • No hanging on volleyball net. Return volleyball to front desk.
  • Sand must be washed off before entering any pool!
  • Do not throw sand.
